Hello folks! As some of the older players know I use to interview all the presidential candidates every month. I became busy and it stopped a few months back. I plan on restarting that tradition of mine and hope you all enjoy. The format will be the same as always. A brief introduction followed by their response to 5 questions relevant to this months elections.
Note : I will add more interviews as more willing candidates, candidate themselves.
First we have met3_ who has quite a bit of experience in e-sim. He recently returned to the game after a period of quite and calm due to being busy in RL. He is a 22 time congress member and 1 time president. He has been here since day 171 and knows the game very well by now. No doubt he would do a great job. We then have Korso who is a 1 time congress member. He has been playing since day 247, so he knows how the game works. He does have a limited political career but it would be great to see what he could bring to the table.
Now for the questions:
1. What makes you qualified to lead this nation?
met3_ : Well, though I have served 22 terms in the US Congress, and 1 term as US President, I feel the best qualification I have is the people I surround myself with. Though I have experience ranging from Executive, Legislative and even State Department, my best qualifications are those I work with.
2. What will you do in regards to the fact that Canada forcefully took back CPC after we had an agreement to rent it?
met3_ : Good question. First off, with every election comes new leadership. I will talk to the new leaders of Canada and try to re-establish the deal, but can not say for certain to what extent I will take the negotiations. I am not the President right now, so before I show my hand, I will need to see what cards I've got. At this time, nothing (including military action) is off the table until I can see the issue from the view of the Oval Office.
Korso : Canada is full of loons. They are an Enemy of the USA. We can't even control our own citizens, why are we surprised when our deals fall apart? Perhaps Canada has the same problems we do.
3. What are your thoughts on the recent divide between Americans since the last Presidential elections?
met3_ : My campaign is about restoring belief in America. Frankly the division of the previous month needs to stay in the previous month. It is ok to have differences, but those differences should never reach a level where they become toxic to the Nation. I personally refuse to get into that mud fight, but if the issue tries to sow discord during my presidency I will quickly approach and if necessary remove the cause of conflict.
Korso : *cringe* It all seems very silly to me. I think certain people are just too stupid to comprehend how stupid they really are. *Shrug*
4. We had a small baby boom recently but it has slowed again, do you plan on trying to do your own? If so, how?
met3_ : I have learned long ago that a baby boom is useless unless you have the infrastructure in place to sustain the growth. I will focus more on building a foundation for young players to thrive in once they get here, rather than simply getting them here so they can quit.
Korso : We go through natural cycles. If people are having fun they will continue to live here.
5. Will we have an organized and active government under your presidency? As the last couple of presidents have not done the best job at it.
met3_ : ABSOLUTELY! I was asked to run by a friend of mine, I told him I would not consider running unless I had an active Government. I went on IRC and found some of my old cabinet members and asked them if they would be willing to help me put together a Government. After my cabinet was assembled I launched my Exploratory Campaign. Never put the cart ahead of the horse.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
