Gilads is a person that surely doesn't need introduction. He's the journalist from Israel/Germany and if you've ever seen global articles list you've most likely seen his nick up there.
1. gilads576210 , one of the great journalists of this game and a long-time friend/colleague/competitor of mine, thanks for doing this interview with me. 1. Sure! It's a real honor for me to be interviewed by my successful competitor and a good friend.
2. Let's start with origins: What attracted you to e-Sim, how did you find this game and what were your first weeks like? 2. Ohh that was a long time ago. My good friend from RL messi100 invited me to join. But my first account was banned (everyone tries their luck with multies at the beginning) and when i opened my second account i was trying to help my friend Speedy but i registered through speedy (a weird banned multie) and i guess this guy could be really rich. First weeks were nice. i started at the US, than moved to Israel, and got involved in politics, economy and all the great things this game offers. Later on i also discovered the newspaper, which is my best hobby these days.
3. What motivated you to start up journalism? Now that you're rich and famous, what drives you to write more and more articles? 3. My first articles were in Hebrew or in really bad English. I wrote about Israel in e-sim and in RL. But the thing that motivated me the most was a simple article about turkey that got a lot of exposure and warm comments. I understood that writing is fun for me and if i get support on it, i should keep doing it. And today i guess i'm just addicted, like all the real journalists.
4. You've been the president and of Israel several times and a very active politican in that country yet last year you changed your CS to German and have been playing for that country most of the time. What were the reasons there? 4. I was disappointed with the Israeli community. I gave everything for that community and they hurt me very much. I decided that the best place for me is Germany. I love the german people, i am a german myself and learning the language so it's also a good opportunity for me to improve the language. I find myself more comfortable in Germany. The community is more mature and polite. In Israel there are good energies but there are also many childish players.
5. How has reset affected your gameplay and the German community? 5. The reset and the days before it were the top of my journalistic career. An article with 750 votes and a unique logo almost made a revolution in the server. Admin was shocked to see the support of the players against the reset. Until today, over 500 players have changed their profile picture, many of them still wear it.
The German community got much weaker because of the reset. About 50% left the game and the guys who stayed were mostly 2 clickers and not real fighters. For our luck, we had a great leader during the months after the reset, and he helped the German community to become active again. I'm obviously talking about my great friend Dreier .
I became less active after the reset and fought only in important battles. Also today, i'm not fighting very often. Only if there's a BH that calls me or important battles in Germany.
6. Do you think Admin is still listening to us? What should he do in your opinion to make this game popular again? 6. That's really a great question. I believe this game is still managed by someone, but the game needs a lot of changes. The first step is to make the game more interesting for newbies, because many quit because they find it too hard or too boring. And that's not representing the real game. I love this game and newbies can't feel this attraction. I think we should keep making articles. When an article gets a lot of exposure, even admin takes a look at it.
7. How active are you at the economy side of the game? 7. Not as active as i used to be. I don't trade anymore but i'm a manager of a nice SC. Most of my gold comes from inviting bonuses and new citizens. Although i love the economic side of this game, i just don't have enough time to be active there.
8. Where does the time go? Also, how does one invite as many players as you have to the game? 8. My time goes to RL work, RL school, and in e-sim i just invest my time in journalism. About the inviting, this is something i made during september 2013. I led the israeli community from 100 players to 700. During the time a lot of players quit and today there are 20-30 active israeli players that registered through me. So that's a nice salary for me.
9. How active are you in other servers? 9. I think i'm the richest 2 clicker ever in oriental, and i'm also 2 clicking in suna from time to time.
10. Thank you again for this interview, gilads. Best of luck and break a pen! 10. thanks Orlandio , as i told you at the beginning, it's a big honor to me to be interviewed by you. And some day i'll interview you and we'll publish it in my newspaper. Have fun and good luck in the future!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
Invest, produce and sell - be an entrepreneur in E-Sim.
Take part in numerous events for the E-Sim community.
