Good evening America. I'm Theodore Clinton and this is Channel 4 News.

Song for the day.

As most of you know, I was the most recent Secretary of Media for the White House. Unfortunately known traitor (and soon to be impeached I hope) President Pfeiffer wiped out the press releases once he took power in a military coup against the elected government. I’ve had time to reflect on these recent events and would like to give my take on these developments.

First President Reagan was the democratically elected President of the United States for this term. This was a fair election and even though he won by one vote, he still had the most support. Immediately following his election, Pfeiffer launched an unsuccessful attempt against President Reagan. After losing the impeachment vote, he decided to launch a Civil War in order to overthrow the government. All Pfeiffer need was 33% of the population to sign onto the Civil War in order for it to happen. Once it became clear that the threshold would be reached, some were resigned to fighting for the Rebels in order to have a chance or be given the opportunity to pick up a Congressional seat. I will discuss why the Loyalists lost in second question below.

At the beginning of all this Pfeiffer claimed that he was not the leader of the movement but was simply the first to “push the button”. He even publicly stated that he would immediately resign as President once he took office. This was an attempt to convince even more Americans to fight for the Rebel cause. Of course I saw through this attempt and correctly predicted what would happen. Pfeiffer changed his stance from “I will resign” to “if Congress desires, I will continue to serve”. Once Congress initiated impeachment proceedings against Pfeiffer, he even voted to keep himself in office. This is just another example of self centered maneuvers and misrepresentations brought forth by the leader against democracy.

Instead of moving the country forward, we have wasted time and energy kicking out our elected President (for no legitimate reason) along with most of Congress in order to put into power a new President who is now being impeached. If the Rebel leaders would have simply given our elected administration a chance to serve, none of these distracting activities would have happened. While the Reagan Presidency was one of, if not the shortest terms, I’m proud to have served in its cabinet. We brought transparency to government through regular press releases and kept the government running despite all the attempts to sabotage us. The Rebels may have taken power this time but we’ll be back for sure.

Since I’m the now former Secretary of Media, I’m given myself the title of Press Secretary for the Reagan Presidential Library. This means I will be continuing to take and answer questions concerning the both President Reagan and any other questions you have for me. Here were the three questions posted on the now deleted last White House Press Briefing.

Question 1 from sebastonz: Is this going to be the shortest presidential office holding in US e-sim history? You can ask Lars I guess or choco, since the rest of the cabinet haven’t been here for more than 50 days.

I haven’t checked officially but I would assume this is the shortest tenure for an American President. I doubt any other elected administration came under attack minutes within taking office. Of course with Pfeiffer’s imminent impeachment I’d say his tenure with be nearly as short as President Reagan’s.

Question 2 from sebastonz: Where is this majority of support that got pizza elected? The turnout for your side in the battle calls into question who voted for pizza o.O Or they just tired quickly of the poor me propaganda you guys ran with... idk

We knew from the start that President Reagan’s chances of keeping office were slim with almost all high ranked citizens fighting for the Rebels. However we didn’t expect the number of high ranked inactive players to come back to the game simply to blow gold in order to throw out the democratically elected administration. brethern3 for example gave almost 38 million in damage to the Rebel cause. Younger players, the large majority of our coalition, are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to competing against older players. Even if the bottom half of the Rebels decided to switch sides, we still would’ve lost due to the tanks on the Rebel side.

Question 3 from sirhypnotoad: You mean to tell me that someone who I should follow as President gives out citizenship without even contacting the individual in question to see what their intentions are? Is this supposed to make me somehow feel better?

We don’t even have a quasi-official immigration policy in this country. The granting of citizenship is at the discretion of each Congress member. Since there are no specific requirements for granting citizenship, then Congressman Reagan decided to exercise his ability to grant citizenship. If Israel were a hostile nation in e-Sim I would understand your concern but Israel has a neutral policy with the United States.

Till next time,

Theodore Clinton

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. Its creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
