It’s not nice to reminisce the past, but nevertheless I and perhaps you aswell will remember this year as a year of great ascents and also descents – Sven Mikser even made the leap to call 2014 annus horribile. Since I am a recent joiner of eEsim, I can not personally evaluate this game in its entirety. Which is why I have had interviews with a few of our beloved eEstonians, who have devoted a lot more to e-Sim, and are hopefully better at it then I am. The first exclusive is with our so called „mom“ EnjoyMe. She is as good as a person, as she is a player. She’s the one to turn to in times of hardship. I felt a certain sence of awe when writing this article: after all, she is one of the most known players in e-Sim. Im sure you agree with me in saying she may be called a star of eSim.
How do you evaluate 2014 in eSim?
To be honest, it’s been quite bad for eSim in general – Players are upset with developers, and more and more people quit eSim.
But what about 2014 in eEstonia?
Many good players have quit or been banned, but all in all it seems like we’re ok. We have had good allies and experienced people in the government. It’s alot better than what we started out with.
Many of the newer players might not know what was the beginning of eEstonia, would you mind saying a bit about that?
Well you should ask about the very beginning of eEstonia from puruluks, atixs or orlandio (there will be an interview with orlandio in the end part of this article). I will say that when I joined two years ago, there were a lot of internal conflicts inside eEstonia and there was a constant threat of being conquered by someone. I don’t even remember that period so well anymore. eEstonia was a lot poorer compared to what it is currently.
It was clear in Suna, that eEstonia was messed up due to the multitude of quarrels and disagreements. Luckily, it looks like eEstonia in Suna is beginning to recover. Unfortunately, eEstonia in Suna is in a worser situation compared to us in Primera.
Im sure every starting country goes through a period of disagreements.
This will only make us stronger. You said earlier that our government has had many experienced players. Who, except you of course, do you think was the star politian of eEstonia in 2014?

Edgar Savisaar and 
VinniPunn would qualify. Of course no one is perfect – we’ve all made some mistakes, but don’t think I’ve seen better CP candidates as they are. The duties of a CP are not merely numbers and wars, one must also have the ability to communicate with the people. I helped SpacePenguin on his communicating skills myself. On the other hand, VinniPunn is a born smooth talker. Both VinniPunn and Edgar Savisaar have had a part in leading alliances – They are very respected even outside eEstonia.
Since we’re already on the topic of extraordinary people – who do you think is the most outstanding player of 2014? (You may select more than one)
Orlandio , even though he hasn’t been to Estonia for a while now or socialized with us in any way. He’s an Estonian. I’m sure he’s a rolemodel for all starting journalists – his articles are read even by the developers.

TheShadoWBunnY is and always will be our nr 1 star. He is the guy, who can win all of our battles either by himself or with his MU. He’s like our personal Batman, who is constantly on a mission to save the world. Both Orlandio and nuustik are well-known and respected players on the whole eSim level.
Could you name a newcomer of the year?
Someone exept AdmiralPitka? I’d have to think about it...
You, Hambahaldias and Siim have been outstanding. It’s always pleasing when some newbies with new ideas, make their way in the rows of the older farts. It's sad that Siim got banned – he had great potential. I would like to encourage players to keep being interested in the game and experiment with everything. But please play fairly and don't get banned. I personally like players who ask for advice most – makes me feel like me wasting time here hasn't been in vain. Gives me a chance to pass down the "knowledge" to newcomers.
I’m going to get a bit more personal with the following question – You are the moderator of eWiki and Press Director for SELLUM. Would you mind telling a bit closer of the duties that accompany those positions?
When I started work, it was in chaos – spam everywhere and impossible to find any information. At first I hired help – together witht the team we deleted spam from comments and articles. Then we categorised all articles manually and updated all outdated information, pictures etc. (the articles were copied from the old wiki, which was extremely outdated). Currently I update pages, filter spam, respond to game related questions in the wiki commentary and support channel.
All in all – Many responsibilities accompany the job?
Quite enough.
Press Directors in the alliances do not have to do much most of the time. One must simply write an article, if there is some sort of a major change within the alliance i.e accession or succession of a member, or changes in headquarters.
Since I won't sit still without being occupied with something, I basically performed the duties of Military Commander – setting orders and so on... Until Megahit kicked me from chat for being too chatty.
During this interview, we have already touched upon this subject vaguely, but I will nevertheless ask you again, and this will also be the final question for you: What are your suggestions for 2015? What should be improved and what should be changed?
I would like myself to be less talkative
To others: Do not quit! Do not quit! Let citizens of other nations quit, as the quantum of eEstonians is not large. Exept this, i think that eEstonia is doing wonderful.
I emphasize to newcomers to experience all areas of eSim: politics, journalism, business and warfare. You might just find your calling here. Experiment and when you have something on your mind, then ye olde farts will help you gladly.

How do you evaluate 2014 in eSim?
I think it passed with its own ups and downs – I mean there were times where our beloved homeland expanded basically to the North Pole. On the other hand, just a couple of weeks later, we were practically wiped from the map. On a personal perspective, the year passed exitingly – I had the chance to try the office of the President and during that I met many intriguing people all around the world.
You became president due to an impeach. Do you thing this will somehow undermine you status?
It is true that in December, I became President when the previous President was impeached. On the other hand i was the President during summer. Since two thirds majority is needed to pass an impeachment in congress (which has a more active collective than the general population), i think on the contrary – this has increased my status.
Since we’re on the topic of politics, who do You think, besides you, is a star politician?
I wouldn’t consider myself a star politician. I think the most outstanding politician of the not so distant past was Edgar Savisaar, who got caught with his dirty machinations.
Who do you think is the best player of 2014? (You may select more than one)
It’s difficult to answer this question because obviously there are a lot of powerful and simply nice players. This is why i will not point out someone specific.
Could you name the newcomer of 2014?
It’s been a long year and I can’t seem to recall every newcomer, but I would like to point out two players – Hambahaldias and AdmiralPitka.
To sum things up: Would You like to offer some advice or suggestions for the forthcoming year?
I’d like to say: „Calmness and serenity.. merely calmness and serenity“. Let’s all act with a sober consiousness.

About the game:
USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
