唉，平安时代日本公卿贵族们那些累赘至极的厚重衣服，实在是让崇尚简洁的现代人感到头疼。
不过呢，好在那年头的人工费很便宜，每个公卿家里都有一大群侍女仆人。所以，诸位少爷小姐们多半不用自己动手，只要像个真正的日本人偶一样戳在那里，自会有一群侍女仆人围着你来回奔走，帮你穿衣服，洗头发，梳理发髻……如果你本事好的话，或许还能趁着这个间隙打个盹。
但问题是，穿好了衣服之后还要梳妆打扮——这个可就很要命了。
首先，古代的东方人不分男女，都习惯于蓄长发。现代女性能够保持长发及腰，就已经算是很厉害了。而平安时代贵族女性的秀发，平均都在3米以上！至于在这方面的最高记录，则来自于村上天皇的宠妃芳子，根据记载，这位宠妃的头发大约有7米长……而当今的头发长度吉尼斯纪录最新保持者，中国女选手谢秋萍同志，她的头发长度也才5.62米。
很显然，这么长的头发，无论梳洗、晾晒还是日常养护，都是一件繁琐而浩大的工程。好在梳洗头发和编制发髻的工作一般都有侍女代劳，贵族本人倒是不会觉得辛苦。
真正的问题，在于接下来的面部化妆。
——根据从东晋时代江南士族那里学来的娘娘腔腐朽习气，日本平安时代的男性公卿贵族，也都要像女人一样涂脂抹粉，画眉染齿，每天花上几个钟头的时间精心化妆打扮。
其中，日本古代公卿的“画眉”，就跟现代的概念完全不同，乃是将眉毛尽数拔去，然后在眉、额之间用墨汁点以蚕眉，感觉很像京剧里的脸谱。在现代人眼中看来，估计会觉得很丑，但好歹不会损害健康。
(但有些奇怪的是，日本时代剧里面那些扮演公卿和贵妇的演员们，似乎都没有剃眉毛啊！)
可接下来的涂白粉，就有着性命攸关的危险了！
所谓的涂白粉，就是用软刷将化妆用的白粉均匀涂于面部，以求美白，如同后世的日本艺妓和歌舞伎一样。当时所用的白粉，主要材质有米粉、铅白（铅白粉）和轻粉（水银白粉）三种。其中米粉最便宜也最健康，但是其颜色却不如矿物粉纯净。所以，那些有条件的公卿贵族，都选用较为昂贵的后两者。
而同一时代的中国宫廷女性，基本上也是在用铅白粉进行美容，正所谓“洗尽铅华”嘛！
但当时的日本公卿们恐怕根本就没有想过，铅白粉和水银白粉都是带着剧毒的啊！！！
早在日本平安时代到来之前，西方的古罗马人就已经因为铅中毒吃足了苦头。
由于长期使用铅粉化妆品，铅制酒杯和铅制餐盘，连高架水渠上面也铺着铅管，结果害得凯撒和庞培的后代们统统患上了慢性铅中毒。从罗马帝国后期开始，罗马公民都慢慢变得弱不禁风、智力低下、生育率萎缩、畸形儿增多……从而成为了最终导致帝国毁灭的一大诱因！
在进入近代之后，由于早期的火枪普遍发射铅弹，结果导致每一次战役之后，都有很多士兵因为某颗铅弹卡在体内取不出来，或者取出来得太迟，从而被当时无药可救的铅中毒慢慢地折磨致死。
——长期使用铅白粉搽脸的最终结果，也一样会导致慢性铅中毒，出现贫血，呕吐，神经麻痹等症状。而且。如果贵族女性到了生儿育女的年纪，于怀孕和哺乳期间继续使用铅白粉化妆，那么还会导致婴儿贫血，消化不良，乃至于发生大脑发育不健全。万一不慎在哺乳期间让婴儿直接铅毒入口，由于婴儿的身体发育不完全，内脏器官的解毒能力差，甚至很可能直接导致猝死！
至于水银白粉的毒性，也同样非常恐怖——汞中毒通常直接作用于人的神经，中毒者先是突然变得急躁暴力，随后又变得痴呆健忘，最后生活不能自理，连行动都受影响。汞中毒晚期表现出来的具体症状，有些类似帕金森综合症，也就是那位只有三根手指能动的《时间简史》作者霍金先生患的病。
所以，在此警告诸位准备穿越到平安时代的男士与女士，为了你们自己和子孙后代的生命健康，哪怕被别人嘲笑你家是吝啬鬼，也一定要用最便宜的米粉搽脸，千万别拿铅白粉和水银白粉去玩命儿啊！
（平安时代生产力落后，还有一部分下级公卿涂米粉敷脸，到了后面就几乎全用铅白粉了，更悲催。）
当然，为了避免天天抱着一个毒物睡觉，然后让这个毒物和你孕育出下一代毒崽子，所以在挑选婚配对象的时候，最好也要找门第比较低，家里比较穷的，总之就是那种用不起铅白粉和水银白粉的破落户吧！
于是，为了健康着想，你顶着侍女们的嘲笑与鄙视（笑话你是小气鬼），硬是坚持用最便宜的米粉涂完了脸。接着，侍女们拿出了红花染料，涂抹在你的嘴唇、脸颊和指甲上，差不多相当于后世的口红、腮红和指甲油——这玩意儿倒是基本上没什么问题，属于纯天然无污染的绿色产品。
问题是再接下来的那个化妆步骤“黑齿”，就又要让人受罪了！
——为了更好地衬托出肌肤的白嫩，平安时期的公卿贵族不分男女，都以黑齿为美。举行了成人仪式之后的女孩子和男孩子，都要把牙染黑，以示进入结婚年龄。
为此，他们会在自己的牙齿上，至少是门牙上，涂抹一种名为“铁浆”的黑色染料。
——诸位寻求浪漫的女士们和男士们，请注意了！在日本平安时代背景的动漫作品里，那些笑一笑露出六颗白牙的帅气贵公子，还有眉毛弯弯、明眸皓齿的名门大小姐，其实统统都是不存在的啊！
而这种古代日本人特有的“铁浆”，又是什么玩意儿呢？具体来说，就是将茶，酒，醋等液体混合之后，加入生锈的碎铁屑，然后像酿酒一样密封发酵，最后加热煮沸而成的一种粘稠液体。
据说这种“铁浆”闻起来有恶臭味，还带有轻微毒性，并且会严重损害牙龈，弄不好还会导致口腔感染——真不知平安时代的日本人干嘛要发明出这个玩意儿来折磨自己？
但是，正所谓入乡随俗，在那个环境里不肯染黑齿的下场，就是被全社会排斥。
——根据记载，在平安时代，也曾经有一个特立独行的贵族女子，坚决拒绝染黑齿和剃眉毛，结果一直拖到年纪老大也嫁不出去，让父母愁得要死。后来好不容易找到一个口味猎奇（以当时的观点来说）的贵公子，这才勉强凑成了夫妻……
所以，如果你们真的打定主意要穿越到平安时代的日本公卿家庭，那么最好还是抓紧时间学习台湾同胞，多嚼嚼槟榔吧！一直嚼到牙齿全部发黑为止！虽然嚼槟榔也会对牙齿有些损害，但再怎么说也比日本人去涂那个什么劳什子“铁浆”要强得多！

In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
