嗯？古埃及的饮食文化有这么悲惨？
那倒不是，事实上，埃及人是非常会享受生活的。
得益于尼罗河谷地丰饶的农产品，当希腊人和罗马人还在茹毛饮血的时候，埃及人已经拥有了面包，而且还是混合了黄油、蜂蜜和香料的高级甜点面包。
啤酒则是埃及人的另一大主食——与现代那种会产生许多气泡的啤酒不同，古埃及人的啤酒比较粘稠，里面含有许多固状物，营养含量很高，更像是现代的粥（多加点蜂蜜就是甜酒酿了）。
除了面包和啤酒这两样基本配置之外，古埃及人还发明了加入椰枣和蜂蜜的蛋糕，以及作为高档饮料的葡萄酒。此外还有烤全牛、烤鸭、烤鹅、烤鸽子、烤猪排、烤鱼、浓汤、杂拌蔬菜、葡萄干、椰枣干、水果拼盘……基本上，日后西餐的各类基本菜色，在古埃及都能找到雏形。
遗憾的是，古埃及人只发明了菜肴，却没发明餐具，穿越者只能像现代印度人一样用手指直接吃饭。
而更加遗憾的是，这些膳食虽然精美，但因为埃及的风沙太大，在烹饪的时候多多少少掉了些砂子进去，不管怎么防范也弄不干净。
作为埃及人主食的面包，因为烤制的条件粗糙，更是危害健康的罪魁祸首——从古埃及坟墓中提取的面包标本表明，这些面包里面有许多混杂物，包括大量的沙子、用来磨面的手磨碎片和仓库的残物……
虽然埃及人成功把烘制面包变成了一种手艺，创制了五十多种不同形状的面包——圆的、立方的、麻花形的、动物形状的……但就是没办法把面包里的砂子弄干净。
坚硬的石英砂会磨损埃及人的牙齿釉质层，造成龋齿，继而引起牙神经溃烂。在最严重的情况下，甚至会诱发败血症而导致患者死亡——著名的拉美西斯二世法老，就是因为蛀牙而活活痛死的。
古埃及世界非但食物如此不健康，就连饮水也有问题——众所周知，埃及人喝水全靠尼罗河。上埃及的尼罗河水尚算清澈，适合饮用。但到了三角洲地区的下埃及，尤其是靠近入海口的地方，由于河水的流速减缓，就尽是淤泥浊水了。
当地的富人会把这些浊水灌进池子里慢慢沉淀，然后使用上面的清水，但穷人却没法如此讲究……结果就是各种肠胃寄生虫病的常年泛滥成灾。
四、坑爹的古埃及医疗和商业！
生了病就得治疗，这就扯到了古埃及的医学了。古埃及医学可以说是相当发达，已经分门别类到一个很详细的地步，像眼科和牙科都有专门的医生进行治疗。
但是，很不幸的是，他们开的药方……除了常见的草药以外，他们还喜欢往里面掺入各种泥土，以及各式各样千奇百怪的动物粪尿——就如同《西游记》里面孙悟空他们拿马尿捏药丸治病一样……
综上所述，那些兴高采烈前往古埃及世界的穿越者们，必须做好一到那边就先被脱衣剃毛凌辱一番，然后因为饮食不健康而患上龋齿和胃病，接着还要被庸医们拿马粪灌嘴的准备。
最后还有一点，古埃及文明始终没有发明出自己的金属铸币（直到古埃及文明结束的前夕，才有希腊商人把钱币带到了埃及）。而最早的金银铸币发明地，则是在《天是红河岸》女主角夕梨穿越的赫梯旧地，一个名叫吕底亚的国度——但时间却是在赫梯灭亡的几百年之后了。
因此，在古埃及想要上街买东西，只能以货易货，或者用贝壳、金银块当做一般等价物。
但贝壳的“面值”太小，很多人拒收，金银又不是真的货币，没法直接换东西，每一次交易都要对金银进行仔细称重，还要有一双能够分辨出金银成色的火眼金睛——用金箔包裹着铅块做出来的假金子，在那时候就已经有了。
小结：其它的国度更悲催
虽然有着上述的种种缺点，但实事求是地说，古埃及的生活已经算是很安乐了。
同时代的其它几个文明区域，两河流域的诸多城邦全民皆兵，连年打仗，屠城焚城不计其数，居住的民族真是在一茬一茬地在换，没有一天安生的日子；古印度文明先是连年水灾又是雅利安人入侵，勉强支撑了几个世纪，最后干脆来了个种族灭绝外加文明崩灭，退化成原始部落了；克里特岛的米诺斯文明位于海上，或许比埃及人更容易品尝到海鲜，但对外战争同样也更频繁，每年都有无数人在航海远征之中丧生，最终更是毁于火山喷发和海啸，连个渣子都没剩下……
至于中国的夏朝和商朝，不仅文明程度在那个年代的各大文明国度之中最落后，缺乏宏伟的建筑物，连商王都住茅草房不说，在人道主义方面更是一场灾难——根据甲骨文记载，著名的妇好王后一次就宰杀了上万名战俘，用来祭祀神明，而当时全中国人口也才不到400万，真是堪比日后中美洲的阿兹特克人……虽然埃及人偶尔也用活人祭祀，但每次祭神一般只杀几个人，穿越客一到地方就倒霉的概率要低得多。
相对而言，古埃及一直是比较稳定的，动乱的时期并不多，在被波斯帝国征服之前，埃及文明独立传承的2500年里，总共只遭遇过一次异族征服（喜克索斯人）和两次大规模内乱（两个“中间期”）而已。而每年定期泛滥的尼罗河，又给埃及人带来了肥沃的土地和稳定的谷物丰收，自然灾害比别处少得多。
然而，即使是在远古时期生活条件最舒适的埃及，日常生活都依然是如此的令人崩溃，其它地方的生活条件就更是可想而知……诸位晋江文的女主角们，请记住，小说是浪漫的，现实却是残酷的，千万不要被什么“爱在西元前”的浪漫歌谣给忽悠了，贸然踏上这条穿越远古中东文明的不归路啊！

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
