欧元区今年第二季度经济仅增长0.1%，德国萎缩0.2%。自欧债危机爆发以来，德国一直主张严肃财政纪律，实行紧缩。近日包括法国在内的多个国家不愿缩减支出，面临预算案被欧盟否决的风险。在整个欧洲经济黯淡的背景下，比利时米歇尔新政府上月成立，随后发布一系列“新政”，其中包括提高退休年龄到67岁、进行公共部门资总额10％的剪裁、取消工资上涨并且削减社会保障福利等等。
刚刚经历政府换届的比利时，却在此时迎来了声势浩大的“罢工季”。11月6日，约13万人参加了在布鲁塞尔举行的示威游行，抗议联邦政府近期宣布的紧缩政策，从而拉开了全国性大罢工的序幕。
在今年5月举行的比利时联邦议会选举中，来自弗拉芒区的三大政党进一步巩固优势地位，并与式微的瓦隆区法语社会党共同组成四党联合政府。尽管政府总理一职由社会党年仅39岁的米歇尔担任，但中右翼的弗拉芒政党无疑具有更大的决策话语权。经济发达的弗拉芒区一直对联邦政府庞大的财政赤字耿耿于怀，不愿再为经济相对落后的瓦隆区无偿埋单。因此，比利时新一届政府10月中旬上任伊始，就推出了旨在削减政府开支的一揽子紧缩财政计划，主要措施包括：从2015年起取消基于通胀指数变动的工资上浮机制；从2025年起将职工退休年龄由65岁提高至66岁，并在2030年进一步提高至67岁；严格限制提前退休，逐步削减社保投入，等等。此举引发比利时工会组织和中下层群体的强烈不满。
6日当天，由比利时三大工会组织的罢工抗议活动在布鲁塞尔市中心举行，超过10万名职工和学生从中央火车站游行至火车南站。罢工活动导致布鲁塞尔公交系统瘫痪，公立学校停课，机场服务也受到一定影响。只有铁路系统保持运行，以方便全国各地的示威者乘火车赶赴布鲁塞尔。
游行活动开始以和平抗议为主，但在临近结束时，爆发骚乱。参加示威的100多名码头工人在中央火车站附近与维持秩序的防暴警察发生激烈冲突，部分情绪激动的示威者向警察投掷石块和燃烧瓶，掀翻并焚毁数辆警车。警方动用高压水枪和催泪瓦斯驱散示威者，并逮捕了数十人。红十字会方面表示，有60多人在冲突中受伤。
刚刚卸任的比利时前首相迪·吕波也加入了游行队伍，他说，新一届政府的紧缩政策拿普通职工开刀，这显然有失公平。比利时中央银行行长科纳则表示，政府每年公共债务几乎占了收入的100%，这种局面不可持续，如果现在不痛下决心改革，将会使我们的下一代面临更大的难题。
长期久居比利时的《华商时报》社长罗玉宏认为，“比利时在西欧国家里是一个福利主义的国家，老百姓已经习惯了能享受好的福利政策，但是这种高福利的确对经济的发展产生了制约作用，这样的话，政府的预算已经负担不了了。在这种情况下，政府采取了一系列措施，其中就包括推迟退休年限；包括他们也想给企业减轻一点负债，减少工资的增速。这种政策是能得到企业主的欢迎，但侵犯了大众不能减少福利的权利。我觉得，从西欧经济的发展情况来说，比利时新政府的这项政策是对的，政府也看到了问题的所在。但工会阶层认为，新的政策会打击普通老百姓的消费能力，也会对经济的增长产生副作用。”
据悉，比利时新任首相米歇尔当天下午与工会代表举行了会谈，但未能达成有效共识。
比利时劳工部长克里斯·彼得斯宣称“我们的目标是看看有什么可以谈判的。我负责谨慎地接触工会和雇主组织，我们保证，我们对社会对话的态度是开放的。”但彼得斯表示，政府的一些改革要求是不可能退让的。
罢工、罢课和游行示威，在比利时早已是家常便饭。不久前全国警察工会刚刚举行了大罢工，布鲁塞尔机场警察还扬言将通过拖延安检时间导致航班延误向政府施压。
工会负责人表示，此次布鲁塞尔大罢工只是个序幕，在接下来的1个多月里，将会在全国各地持续举行罢工和抗议活动，到12月15日将迎来罢工活动的高潮，“制服革命”仍在继续。

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
