I was appalled to see the message about the ‘New’ reset schedule. So astounded that I double checked my address bar to ascertain it was not ‘testura’ I had logged in to.
Nonetheless, I was as much delighted as I was infuriated by the decision. That would be tantamount to beginning of a “New Era” in my life. If I needed one reason to put an end to years of asininity, playing on multiple servers of various games almost apathetically, E-sim granted me the best of them all.
I wanted to quit on many occasions, especially upon the updates which were totally in contrast with the promising commencement of the game such as “Buying Gold Option”. Introduction of “Buying Gold Option” was somehow the beginning of the downfall. That was the whole excuse for adding “Secura”, to keep “E-sim” (Primera) ‘clean’. And although not favorable to many, but the decision to add another server was understandable to almost all. Then it led to the creation of ‘Suna’. And the will and desire for ‘more’ never ended. I believe if laying the groundwork for the game to flourish is what they are after, restarting Primera is certainly not the solution. The decisions made by the admins of all similar games proved to me but one thing: In the end it is not the years you put in your e-life that matters, it is the ‘MONEY’.
I always thought of E-sim as the best game among the similar MMOG games. Yet E-sim’s status began to deteriorate day by day. It plunged into the abyss in a similar manner to its rivals (perhaps even worse), from a well organized community with considerate executives to a chaotic society with the least amount of consideration for its users.
It is very understandable that all the time and effort a team puts into developing a game is not for charity and every plan should pave the way for auspicious outcomes to emerge as the game flourishes. It also can be a valid point that every user should deliberate what any game has to offer and if it does not live up to their expectations, simply stop playing it. But that does not hold after 3 years of industriousness.
It is very disrespectful to all the players who have literally dedicated a good portion of their precious time to the game to offer them a few useless ‘achievements’ in return for all they have accomplished through the years. All of those devoted players who used to talk in favor of the game when inviting others, will discourage anyone they might come across from joining the game, naturally (if not deliberately).
I did not mingle much with the community and therefore there were no greetings in the first place to necessitate a farewell.
However, I experienced several encounters, a few of which pretty disheartening. People insulting each other over trivialities. Although since many of the players in the game are not ‘grown-ups’, many of the reactions are comprehensible. But there were those who used to forget who they actually were, just because they had a ‘high rank’ in the game. At the same time there were those with whom I took pleasure in every little chat. I do not and cannot name all of them yet I will never forget them.
Finally, there is a message to pass on to those who do stay. In case you have failed to notice so far, ‘this’ is just a game and we are supposed to enjoy it. Therefore we ought to learn to share the joy with all the fellow citizens and players. All the passion we might presume we are showing for our country is spurious. We have a proverb in Persian, the loose translation of which would go like this: “…This is a pot boiling for ‘The Admins’…”! Of course that is the attraction of the game and there cannot be any grumbles about that matter. However, consider ‘Country X’ conquering each and every region in the game. Will you as an outsider feel any better towards the citizens of ‘Country X’? Will that improve their real life economy, social welfare, etc.? It will definitely not, not to mention the animosity it can arouse. It is all virtual prosperity contributing to the thriving of the individuals in the game. So if you think you are representing your real life country, strive for courtesy and respect not virtual regional expansion. Let’s respect each other and enjoy our moments together.
Although I did not have many encounters but hereby I would like to apologize to those in the lives of whom I might have been the reason for the slightest moment of grief.
It is doubtlessly a very difficult decision to make. I am going to put years of persistence behind while not having accomplished what I have been planning. One day I might decide to make a return, but I hope not!
There were still many things I wanted to verbalize! But space runs out on me.
Thank you all again for your patience and ‘Adieu’.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
