I was the youngest of four siblings, my parents were both farming in the central plainlands of Luzon.
I wasn't sure about my education after elementary because all of my ates and a kuya were all studying too, and the perils of our parents were more than comprehensible to me.
But I wanted to earn a degree so I decided to enter a seminary. It was my only chance as I said to my mother.
I succeeded in doing so, I am admitted to a seminary in Antipolo.
Life inside a seminary is all but exciting.We were only to see the world outside only once a month.
I find it so hard to adjust in isolation.
And if you thought everyone there is holy, you are just deceive by the shroud of sanity we all shared due to the cross and worship songs.
Because I am not a very smart student I am not exempted in having failing grades, it even come to point where I faced the rector and is warned about the three strike policy.
With this I did not heed, capitulation is not an option for a boy whose mother fondly tells neighbors that his son will be a priest!
And so I did not.
I was on my penultimate year when I decided I can't be a priest.
Having earned my degree in theology and an ongoing masters in public administration I was contented.
But my mother never spoke to me since then.
I became an instructor of NSTP-CWTS in a quadricentennial university in Manila.
Everything is fine, life have gone better.
Until I fell for one of my student, it is something mutual, something new.
And so for the first time I fell in love, so is she.
We kept it our secret and often meets at our free time. She really didn't made me feel the decade gap.
And then the forbidden happened.
She got pregnant and got scared, but I said I will take the responsibility and make her my wife.
I went with her to see her parents and tell the situation, they were so mad of course.
Mad was even an understatement.
I got beat up by her brothers and slapped by her mother.
After the rage they called the police and had me incarcerated for the week.
The news fled so fast that halfway through my familiar isolation I again met a rector.
But this time there were no warning, the wrath of the rector made him more.... humane.
He cursed me, shamed me, fired me, banned me and made it impossible for me to find another job.
I am eagerly awaiting for someone to help me, visit me, or even call me... my mother, never have I thought I would need her in spite my age. But I did.
But she did not came.
And I just fought the hours to minutes and so on. Seven days seemed to me a year in all its glory.
I never felt so weak before...
By then they had fled my love to the US and had our child aborted.
I had no news about her since then.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
