This does not even look like a newspaper anymore. Asia Journal is becoming more of a opinion/suggestion paper. Just kidding, I'm just having this endless train of thought as to what other features can be added to the game. Please read the older articles and comment. You don't even have to vote the old ones, I just want to get your reactions. remember, if you like reading Asia Journal, then subscribe!

This time, why don't we try adding structures? Do I mean like defensive structures and hospitals? No. Those buildings are a hybrid of items and structures, you can think of them as collapsible. For those who don't know what collapsible mean, it does not mean that they collapse. It means that they are like tents, you set them up, you use them, then you keep them if you don't need them. They are not permanent structures. What I am suggesting this time are permanent structures.

As their name implies, they are permanent. Unlike Defensive Buildings and Hospitals, they don't get activated during war. A permanent structure (Let's call them STRUCTUREs) stays in a region, and its effect can be activated anytime. Of course, the country has to build it, not a company, and it's going to cost a lot of resources. Why? Because it is a form of investment! How?

I'll explain by introducing our first Structure: the Airport. Like items and companies, the Airport has 5 Quality Levels, or 5 Stars. The Airport's effects per Quality Level are as follows:
Q1 - Citizens of the country that controls this region receive 10 less damage when travelling from this region.
Q2 - Citizens of the country that controls this region receive 20 less damage when travelling from this region.
Q3 - Citizens of the country that controls this region receive 30 less damage when travelling from this region.
Q4 - Citizens of the country that controls this region receive 40 less damage when travelling from this region.
Q5 - Citizens of the country that controls this region don't need tickets to travel from this region. (Free Travel)

Of course, all effects of the airport are only applied when the citizen travels from the region with the airport. It's illogical to get a bonus from an airport that is in another region. That means that when a citizen uses a Q1 Ticket to travel, his HP decreases by 30 instead of the normal 40. This will greatly help players, especially newbies. This feature might even encourage new players to stay, especially if their country improves the Airport a lot. The Airport obviously does not come for free, the country president must propose to build it, congress will vote. If voted Yes, a Q1 Airport will cost maybe 750 Oil, and 1,500 Stone. Then to improve the Airport, they will cost the same or just a little more expensive per level, much like upgrading companies. Of course, it is important that only the citizens of the country that controls a region gets the bonus effects as default, but I think it is possible for the President (by proposal to Congress) to be able to set if the Structure is also available to Allied Countries, Neutral Countries, and All Countries.

Another Structure that I would like to add is the Broadcast Company, which may be beneficial to in-game journalists. Here are its effects:

Q1 - All Newspaper Articles published by citizens in this region will also be published in 2 more random countries.
Q2 - All Newspaper Articles published by citizens in this region will also be published in 4 more random countries.
Q3 - All Newspaper Articles published by citizens in this region will also be published in 6 more random countries.
Q4 - All Newspaper Articles published by citizens in this region will also be published in 8 more random countries.
Q5 - All Newspaper Articles published by citizens in this region will also be published in 10 more random countries.

In line with this, I think that the Admins must add a small feature in each Newspaper Article saying where the Article was released. So far, I don't see which of my articles is published in which country. I hope they can fix this.

Finally, we get to resource-enhancing Structures. These guys are very specific. For example, you can only build an Organic Farm at regions with Medium Grain or High Grain. Effects of the Organic Farm are as follows:

Q1 - +5% Raw Material Output to all Workers of Grain Companies in this region.
Q2 - +10% Raw Material Output to all Workers of Grain Companies in this region.
Q3 - +15% Raw Material Output to all Workers of Grain Companies in this region.
Q4 - +20% Raw Material Output to all Workers of Grain Companies in this region.
Q5 - +25% Raw Material Output to all Workers of Grain Companies in this region.

It goes without saying that by default, this will apply to companies whose owners are currently citizens of the country occupying the region.

Once another country (Country B) controls a region with Structures built by Country A, all effects will immediately apply to Country B's citizens in that region. Structures, aside from Resources, will increase the value of all regions (even those regions without resources!), allowing for more reasons to do battle, to invade, to trade, or to do diplomacy.

I'll think up of more ideas for Structures. Please Vote this article if you want this to be known globally so the admins may notice it. Thanks!

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
