Of course, being the person that I am, I expected that a gentleman's agreement holds. When you propose an idea and people agree, you stick to it, and you don't then change the agreement.

Of course, in this game, as it seems mirrored in RL, esimUSA does not seem to abide by any rules, nor does it seem that they want to.

At the end of last month, I was elected as interim CP for Canada. With numbers continuously dwindling in Canada, USA, Mexico due to the fact that the same boring crap has been happening for 2 years now. It seems that the intellect and foresight of a majority of USA citizens is limited to one thought! And that is, lets get in a big alliance and attack CEC.

So, with Canucks being the forward thinkers that we are (and along with a few USA citizens actually), I proposed an idea that primera hasn't seen before. And that was, Mexico/Canada/United States form an alliance and all move East. The idea was solid. Geographically, we are isolated from the super powers in the game, and as a team we could achieve something that has never been done before.

After a really great and constructive discussion with the CP at the time, Lord Mushroom, (whom I wish was still the CP), we figured out that:

[USA] can keep CEC until the end of the month, and in good faith if we do this I want you and your administration to support this alliance offering

We both considered this to be extremely fair as eventually it would lead to bigger and better things for both nations. If this was adhered to Lord Mushroom speaking on behalf of USA then said
and I will follow through on my part

As a result, all battles were halted in CEC and all allied help of Canada was curbed in CEC.

Now, of course comes the new month, and a new CP is put in place. Now actually, I have had some great discussions with Lich, but as expected, the USA congress came back with the proposal that they want to keep CEC and pay a rental. Now, in theory, this sounds great, but under the idea of an alliance, this is a terrible idea as CEC would be a constant drain. So, of course I suggested that Canada should hold CEC and just pay USA a fee. But of course, there was no response on this matter.

Nearly a week has passed, as USA has held CEC scott free. Was this to be expected? Possibly. I know that multiple people in Canada were opposed to ever trusting USA since this has happened many times to Canada already, but honestly, I really did believe that USA would have been able to conjure up some hanging bits between their legs and embark on something new, exciting, and something that would actually do good to the Canadian/Mexican/and American communities.

And as expected, USA just went ahead, totally forgot about any ideas, and allied with an over powered alliance...because lets face it, USA is completely chicken s^!t in this game (well not all, but you know what I mean).

Finally, I would like to thank the USA citizens that reached out to me to discuss this new and exciting proposal. Also thanks to Lich for the initial interaction, and Lich for his proposals (even though it seems like that he is hiding behind the congress decision.....dammit you are the Commander and Chief!)

I was once a believer that USA could change in this game, but hey, to be honest, I am now going to oppose anything ever suggested by USA that could be classed as friendly. Us Canadians are going to enjoy making USA a contain drain on their alliance.

In any case, back to the dumb fight in CEC.

Moral of the story: Don't bother making deals with USA or trusting them. They will just go back on their word.

(Oh and then come crying for help when they get invaded - anyone remember when they were dominated by Russia and Poland!)

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
