I’ve not had to do one for a while, but recent problems in the UK have led me to this.

What the hell is going on?

Let’s be honest here, this month has been a complete and utter shambles.

First we elected a CP who in the end didn’t have the time to run the country - this is absolutely nothing against Wayne Kerr as I know exactly how real life can become busy and that always takes priority. Things can occur that can't be helped and he did the right thing to step down as he did. However this held us up slightly as we had the transition period. Since then, things have never truly recovered.

Jon873 took over for his second stint in charge of the country. Rather ungracefully can I add. Comments made directed towards BB weren’t exactly flattering and to be honest came across as quite childish.

To be fair to him, coming into office as he did, it can be quite confusing to get a cabinet set up quickly. However he had already made plans beforehand which were implemented fairly soon, all apart from his Minister of Foreign Affairs. He asked a few experienced people in the UK however all were too busy or just simply didn't want to.

How do you solve a problem like the MoFA?

Now the MoFA is a very important position. They are expected to liaise with alliances, sort out MPPs and keep the CP informed of other alliances and goings on. The UK still does not have a MoFA. Now two parties are to blame in this, the CP for not getting it together and making sure we had one, and the UK for not volunteering to help out. I’ve wasted breath (i.e typing) before on this, about how the UK like to sit back and complain and yet when it comes to it there is still only the small minority who are willing to help out.

In alliances, typically a country has two representatives, the CP and the MoFA. However currently we are relying on just one person and it’s clear that this isn’t working.

That’s my little dig at all of you done, now back to the CP. Since taking over, there has been zero information about anything from him. Nothing regarding (serious) plans or updates.

The Irish are coming, the Irish are coming!

Oh by the way guys, did you know that Ireland have declared war and we are also voting on the reciprocation? No? I’m not surprised.

The only tidbit of info to come out is from the shoutbox. I know certain things need to be kept behind closed doors until necessary, however when it is public like it already is, then swift actions need to be made to make sure everyone just knows what the hell is going on. We should be informed about why this has happened and what we are going to do about it, keeping quiet helps no-one.

Jon might be working on solving this, but a series of poor decisions in the lead up has put us in a very bad situation. I want us to pull through it unscathed, but if I’m being honest unless things change drastically I can’t see it happening.

In closing.....

I could say more, but that would be unfair on a lot of people. This isn’t a personal attack on Jon, more a rant on why things need to change. Jon might well be the man for the job, and if he does it well I’ll applaud him, if not then I’ll say what I think, I won’t just sit back quietly.

So that’s my thoughts - I want to actually hear some other opinions on this. Don’t just read and click off, put something in the damn comments. Silence on matters like this get us nowhere.

For now,

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
