Red zmaja (Lat: Societatis draconistrarum) je bio osnovan po uzoru na Red Sv. Đorđa (1318. godine) i nije se razlikovao od ostalih viteških redova onog vremena. Tadašnji kralj Ugarske, potonji Car Svetog rimskog carstva, Žigmund ga je osnovao 1408. godine. Prema statutu, čiji najstariji sačuvani prepis datira iz 1707. godine, Red je zahtevao od svojih članova da brane Krst i bore se protiv njegovih neprijatelja, uglavnom Turaka. Članovi reda nazivali su se drakonima. U hrvatskim stručnim tekstovima koristi se i naziv zmajonosci . Prvobitni red je imao 24 člana iz reda plemstva, među kojima su se isticali sledeći velikaši:

Poreklo reda
Tajni viteški red zmaja Sv. Đorđa, osnovao je srpski vitez Miloš Obilić. Na njegovom štitu bilo je predstavljeno Sunce sa dvanest kraka, zbog čega je viteški red, zajedno sa Milošem, činilo dvanest vitezova. Kao znak raspoznavanja vitezovi ovog reda nosili su figuru zmaja na kacigi. Cilj ovog viteškog reda bilo je ubistvo turskog sultana Murata I.
15. juna 1389. god., tokom Boja na Kosovu, Miloš se zaputio prema turskom logoru, pod izgovorom da želi da prebegne Turcima. Zarobljen je i izveden pred turskog sultana. Iskoristivši trenutak nepažnje sultanove pratnje, Miloš je izvadio skriveni bodež i usmrtio sultana Murata. Miloš je, zajedno sa ostalim srpskim zarobljenicima pogubljen po naređenju Muratovog sina Bajazita I.
Jedini od dvanest vitezova reda koji je preživeo Boj na Kosovu, postao je učitelj srpskog princa - despota Stefana Lazarevića. Stefan je bio sin i naslednik srpskog kneza Lazara koji je poginuo u Boju na Kosovu. Mladi princ je bio prvi srpski vitez koji se ugledao na vitešku tradiciju velikih evropskih kraljevina. Kao mađarski vazal i vitez posebnog reda, despot Stefan Lazarević je bio prvi član Viteškog reda zmaja koji je mađarski kralj Sigismund uspostavio 1408. god.
Simbol reda
Red zmaja je svoj simbol usvojio 1408. godine i predstavljao je sliku zmaja čiji rep obmotan oko vrata. Na leđima, od vrata do kraja repa, crveni krst Svetog Đorđa se nalazio na srebrnoj pozadini. Po širenju Reda i drugi simboli su bili u upotrebi, varijacije na temu zmaja i krsta. Na primer, neki pripadnici Reda su prikazivali zmaja koji je svezan krstom koji mu je bio prebačen preko leđa, drugi krst oko koga je obmotan zmaj uz natpis:
«O quam misericors est Deus»
«Justus et paciens»
(Oh, kako je Bog milostiv,
Pravedan i milosrdan»
Drugi amblemi koje je red imao su bili ogrlica i pečat, svaki uz prigodnu varijaciju motiva zmaja.
Posle smrti Žigmunda 1437. godine, Red zmaja je izgubio na svojoj važnosti, iako se ikonografija zadržala na grbovima nekoliko plemićkih porodica.

1431. god. Žigmund je doneo odluku da proširi red. Da bi to učinio, pozvao je veliki broj tadašnjih politički uticajnih ličnosti i vojno korisnih vazala da postanu članovi viteškog reda Zmaja. Među značajnim ličnostima kojima je ukazana ova čast bio je i Vlad II Drakul, otac Vlada Cepeša, koji je bio zadužen za odbranu dela granice, tj. prolaza od Transilvanije ka Vlaškoj. (Nadimak „Drakul“ dodeljen mu je kada je postao član viteškog reda zmaja.)

Rast reda
Uvođenje novih članova u red Zmaja dovelo je do stvaranja različitih klasa unutar samog reda. Svaka klasa imala je malu varijaciju u simbolu reda, iako je figura zmaja još uvek bila dominantna. Najčešće promene obuhvatale su upotrebu natpisa kao što su "O quam misericors est Deus" ("Oh, kako je Bog milostiv"
i "Iustus et paciens" ("Pravedno i miroljubivo". Viteški red Zmaja je imao veoma snažan uticaj sve do Žigmundove smrti 1437. god. Međutim, bez snažnog zaštitnika, red je ubrzo izgubio na značaju i prestižu.
Moderno doba
Iako je simbol reda prisvojen od strane mnogobrojnih plemićkih porodica u Evropi, do danas je očuvano malo istorijskih artefakata reda. Kopija povelje o osnivanju reda iz 1707. godine, koja se čuva u univerzitetu u Bukureštu, predstavlja najstariji sačuvani istorijski artefakt reda.
Simbol reda u obliku medaljona
Danas "Imperijalni i kraljevski sud i red zmaja" predstavlja nedavno nezvanično obnovljeni red Zmaja. Iako se ne smatra viteškim redom, stekao je veliki broj sledbenika. Jedan od njegovih najistaknutijih članova je Majkl Stjuart od Olbanija, poznatiji pod titulom „Princ Majkl od Olbanija“, koju je sam sebi nadenuo. Olbani tvrdi da je direktan potomak Čarlsa Edvarda Stjuarta, poslednjeg predstavnika kraljevske kuće Stjuarta.

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
