A couple days ago, America, we took the time to venture to the voting booth in hitherto unseen masses. There were 452 voters on Friday, an 18% increase from last month. That is a major jump, and a sign of sizable growth in population and activity. Give yourselves a pat on the back for voting!
But the people who most deserve pats on the back are the men and women who were elected to Congress! Twenty faces, some old and some new, will take up residence on Capitol Hill for the next month.
What does it mean to be in Congress? You must be active, on the US Congress forum and on the US chatroom . If you do not stay in touch with what’s going on, you will not be able to vote appropriately or enjoy the experience of being a Congressman.
Also, it is important that you voice your opinions, intelligently and thoughtfully. Congress is not a joke where you can troll around the boards and make silly proposals. There are very serious things Congress handles, and it is critical to the security of the nation that you are involved and in tune with what happens on a daily basis. Without your input, the executive branch will never be able to make decisions.
With that said, let’s congratulate the May-June 2012 Congressional roster!

Special Feature: Argentina
The White House Press Release is going to be starting a new feature, with the aim of informing the American citizens of what our foreign policy is like and what our relationships are with other countries. How we as a nation interact with other peoples and cultures is one of the most vital parts of this game. There are many intricate relationships across the globe, with many alliances, pacts, and agreements, as well as plots and attacks. In a country-by-country format, we will report to you how we feel about our friends and enemies so you can stay in tune with current events.

Argentina
Argentina is a large country based in South America, with six regions there. However, Argentina isn’t known for that, or for its high wood region in Patagonia. The nation is much more well-known worldwide for its successful invasion of Australia, on the other side of the planet. Argentina has firm control over their six regions, too, including South Australia with high diamonds. Their success with imperialism makes Argentina a formidable global power. However, they’re not helped by the fact they have only the twenty-ninth-largest population (which is still twice as large as that of Australia and most other South American countries, mind).

The Doors . We very recently renewed our non-aggression pact with Argentina, giving us another faithful ally in the Americas along with Mexico and Colombia. We have no opinion on Argentina’s occupation of Australia; we do not look fondly upon Australia for the actions in helping to ruin the alliance VETO, and have no plans to help return it to the world map.

Continuing to Stay Connected With Our Allies
This week we have renewed mutual protection pacts (MPPs) with both Sweden and Italy. After sitting down to an excellent meal of spaghetti and mead both countries agreed to an extension of their respective agreements with the United States. Much rejoicing could be heard throughout the streets as representatives left the White House where negotiations were taking place. The United States wishes its many allies well and looks forward to the continuing growth of our allied countries and our relations with them. We are also happy to be furthering our loyal bonds to fellow Sigma members as the alliance grows and prospers.

Are you a devoted internet gamer who spends more time surfing the web than talking to actual people? So are we! That’s why we’ve created a tournament to find out who’s the best sit-in-the-basement-of-your-mom’s-house-er. About a week ago the first sUS Gaming Tournament was announced, the tournament will be including two games. The first game is Balloono, a realtime, head to head, browser based puzzle game. You play as a monkey armed with bombs and you work to destroy the most crates before your opponent. The second game is the popular real time strategy game League of Legends. In this game each team's objective it to make it to the other team's Nexus and destroy it, killing opposing Champions and Minions along the way. USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
