Based on what we know presently I foresee 3 main types emerging:
Traditional Corporation - Pooling of Resources, Companies, and Management Talent
Import/Export Corporation - Focuses on moving goods between countries
Currency Trading Corporation - Focuses on Spread Trading, leveraging their combined assets
to a degree we'll see overlap, particularly in the Traditional form, though the others will likely see some of it as well.
I think the most stable arrangement will have the Chairman maintaining control over +50% of shares at all times. Good friends could jointly own one together as the essential stability would remain the same.
Primary concern would be of a hostile takeover. After only obtaining +50% of the shares, someone could elect themselves Chairman and quite legally take all the corporation's assets.
It is also possible for a takeover to occur if the chairman(w/+50% of stocks) isn't present for a vote with 24 hours. Shouldn't be sharing that kind of information online anyways, but this is just another reason not to give out your RL schedule.
Most of these scams center around a lack of full financial disclosure. One of the nicer things about eSim is that we will have much of this information and provided due diligence is done make these scams less likely.
Ponzi
For those who don't know what this is, short version is that past investors are paid with money received by present investors. Honestly I suspect this is occurring in a few of the eSim banks as we speak.
General indicators would be excessive dividends while real income remains constant.
Eventually too many people wish to withdraw their investments and it collapses like a house of cards.
Insider Trading
In this case Corporate Insiders buy/sell stock based on private knowledge. Should be relatively easy to spot though, as the transaction history and presumably a listing of everyone affiliated with the corporation will be public knowledge.
Even in RL people commonly follow what these insiders do and trade based on their actions. I see no reason we can't do the same here.
Pump and Dump
I've got a really hot stock tip for YOU! I heard from my best friend, that his Uncle heard from Joe the Plumber, that AllStar Stock is going to shoot up. Invest NOW while you still CAN!!!
Scammers purchase shares cheaply, inflate expectations, and then sell off their shares leaving you holding the bag.
We probably will get hit with this one, seeing as everything is online here. Be easy to construct messaging lists and promote stocks in chat.
Just one of those things to be on your guard with.
I'm not sure if Short selling will be possible in the future via contracts, but the reverse scam can occur "Short and Distort". In this case someone tries to drive down the value of the stock instead.

You can do this right now with company names and I rather suspect it will be possible with stocks.
Admin probably would consider this an outright scam, but they may take awhile getting your money back to you. Best way to avoid being scammed in the first place, is to always verify the stock prior to purchasing.
Dummy Corporations
Not necessarily a scam per se but something to think about.
My main thought is that governments and our virtual criminal element will create these to hide their actions.
Criminals will want to launder their money. Governments may wish to engage in economic warfare at a remove or discretely fund Resistance Wars.
Going to wrap up here. Looks like it'll be an excellent addition to an already well made game. The additional economic possibilities this creates can only improve the game economy.

About the game:
USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
