Hello all,
I just finished reading an article by filthy rich about leading a rebellion against our current government. That made me chuckle a bit. But I also read a comment by echo saying there should be a civil war model. This got me to thinking would this be a good idea? I would say yes and no.

First of all let me list some of the positive aspects of what a civil war model could do;
1. This would keep governments on alert to appease the citizens (if the government can only do so much, this may also a bad thing)
2. A civil war could be used to train troops in times of peace in eSim
3. If the government does happen to be tyrannical, others can challenge authority through military means.
4. New counties may be formed, this is a world simulation game and in history counties have be destroyed, disappeared from history, invaded and added to empires and new nations have came to life, it would just give the “sim” part in Esim that more realistic, not to mention some countries have came back (Poland is the country I have in mind)
5. Civil wars are very exciting times in history worldwide in real life; I use the word exiting meaning excitement so this could be good and bad.

To prove my point of number 5 I will list some civil wars that have happened throughout history and explain why there important.
1. First of all the American civil war. Did the south have the right to succeed from the union (yes I know it’s a bit controversial to talk about the US civil war due to slavery but slavery was not the real reason for the US civil war and that’s not the reason I brought it up so please keep that in mind)
2. The Chinese warring states period. This is a huge part of Chinese and it sparked lots of well know entertainment today. If there was no warring states period, we would not have Sun Tzu’s Art of War. Another famous book that came of it was a book called Romance of the Three Kingdoms and a few games by the same name. Also another famous game, Dynasty Warriors. This was for lack of better words Chinas time of heroes (I have talked to a few Chinese when they came to visit my school a few years back, I’m out of school now )
(if you don’t play dynasty warriors you will not get this)
3. The Japanese warring states period. This had a lot to do with samurai, a lot of samurai legends and great battles came from this era. As a matter of fact, when the warring states era ended, a lot of samurai searched each other out to duel each other because they did not know there purpose in life.
4. The Vietnam War. This served as a proxy war between 3 super powers (USA vs. USSR and China), who knows how it would have turned out if all 3 superpowers would have not got involved.
5. The Korean War. Pretty much the same as the Vietnam War except there was no clear winner. It spit the country into two. To this day North Korea and South Korea remain one of the centers of Asian international politics and could at any moment be a powder keg to war, perhaps WW3 if no one is careful.

Now considering the game mechanics there are also many holes for a civil war model, so with all ideas, you must take all good with the bad.
1. In times of war, this could be used to cause chaos to one side, so some rules will need to be implemented, such as to start a civil war you need to be a citizen of your country and have lived there for at least 3-6 months. a high price should be implemented to weed out people who would not be too serious to follow through and not to just do it to cause trouble. If not I can see civil wars being 10 times as bad as political take over, especially in small countries
2. If someone who has started a civil war brfore continues to do so over and over, it could be more of a burden than a fun game feature if you are for the advancement of your virtual nation. And a troll could have a ball with this feature.
3. Civil wars by their nature divide countries; in times of need we may be divided, just imagine our war with Russia if we were divided as they invaded. Meaning a nation would not be heading in one direction and in the case of wars between different nations, resources would be divided up even further. An instance of this happened in real life. When Imperial Japan invaded china, the country was at civil war and continued to fight each other

As you can see the good outnumber the bad but the bad are huge compared to the good, what are your guy’s thoughts?

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
