American Awesome Company Newsletter
First, I would like to apologize to all of my workers for the recent oil outtages that have been occuring with Awesome Airlines during our expansion to Q2 tickets. As well, I would like to thank those workers who stuck around even though I was unable to give a guaranteed "return to work" date.
Y'all are awesome, and without you, this company would already have been binned. But now we're back, and hopefully running smoothly with about 600 barrels of surplus, plus a daily resupply that should breach the four-figure mark. Indeed, within the week I hope to expand the operation to have 5-10 more workers under the Awesome umbrella.
One of my primary goals as a business leader is to find a way to reasonably pay my workers, without overpaying (because I need to profit too!

) and while still maintaining competetiveness. This is particularly difficult because America is a young economy, with a few issues left over from our recent Russian occupation, and wages are currently set to the bare minimum. I hope to change that.
The current math, as it stands, indicates the following ranges being "fair" for workers in sUSA. Included next to that is the current "fair" rate in sItaly, a location known for overpaying their workers (and resultantly overpricing their goods.) Finally, after that is the price I plan on being able to pay, hopefully striking a fair middle territory between underpaid workers and overpriced goods. Finally, presented in parentheses next to each number is the % of pay growth. Understand that each point of economics skill is a 20% productivity growth, and that wages should (ideally) reflect that.
Prices are given in gold, rounded, instead of local currencies.
Q* - American Rate - Italian Rate - Projected "Awesome" Rate
01 - 0.14g (100%) - 0.46g (100%) - 0.25g (100%)
02 - 0.26g (+85%) - 0.53g (+15%) - 0.31g (+25%)
03 - 0.26g (+00%) - 0.68g (+28%) - 0.38g (+21%)
04 - 0.35g (+35%) - 0.80g (+18%) - 0.44g (+17%)
05 - 0.43g (+23%) - 0.86g (+08%) - 0.50g (+14%)
06 - 0.50g (+16%) - 0.89g (+03%) - 0.56g (+13%)
07 - 0.54g (+08%) - 0.94g (+06%) - 0.63g (+11%)
08 - 0.70g (+30%) - 1.05g (+12%) - 0.69g (+10%)
09 - N/A - N/A - 0.75g (+9%)
10 - N/A - N/A - 0.81g (+8%)
These are all estimation values, of course, and shouldn't be treated as solid fact, since the market is subject to change. However, it is worth noting that 0.0625g (aka 25% of 0.25g) as a growth medium for 20% boosts in productivity rewards players for active gaming without punishing newer members unduly.
Also, to translate gold into USD, you can use x50 to get the rough value. (Example: 0.81g x 50 = $40.50 USD)
That is all for the first update, thank you for bearing with us during these times of expansion and chaos. If you have any questions or issues, feel free to message
