As we all know, due to some fairly vague reasons, the administration has decided that the German parliamentary elections will be moved forward a couple of days. This means that the country does not get any time at all to get ready for the upcoming changes, and that our glorious nation, and perhaps other European ones too, could experience a very violent transition of power. Our glorious Reich is no longer dominated by one political faction - a very strong opposition was formed, and seems to be doing really well, despite the fact that the current government conducts acts of harassment (Just a couple of minutes after the forming of the "Team of Rising Germany" party, Deep was wrongly accused of fraud, but refused to pay the fine, which was eventually removed.)and censorship (A few articles disappeared for inappropriate content - despite there being much more provocative articles online). This could mean that the race for both the seats in the congress, and the presidential throne, will surely be vicious and with plentiful of people participating.
The Current Government
The President
There is not much to be said about the current president. Well mannered and rather quite, he seems to stay in the shadow of German politics. He is scarcely involved, and his newspaper, which I of course recommend subscribing to, is not exactly plentiful in detail about future plans or promises. He seems like a man who would just keep his head down, and not get involved into conflicts - and this could not necessarily be a good thing for our nation.
Maxxst , who has reached the rank of a Captain in the Bunderswehr, has been awarded with no medals thus far. He is currently employed in a German-based company called "Dagger Oil".
The leading party
So far, they had no competition within the borders of the German republic. With only a few members, most of whom are not widely recognized in the political scene of Europe, they seem to be a rather weak force. There is little observed organization amongst their ranks - it seems that the German Unity Party is a bunch of individuals, who have joined as there was no alternative available. The leader,
minthril , does not exactly stand out from the crowd and is most probably just a puppet in the hands of the current president.
The German congress
Unlike in neighboring countries, like the strong, recently victorious on every front, Poland, the people who rule seem to come from rather mixed political backgrounds.

We can clearly see that the G.U.P. does not have an overall majority, but only has a few members in place. If the president's party did not manage to secure a parliament majority with no competition, how will they cope with a new party that is also trying to gain influence on the German political scene?
The Opposition
Presidential candidate
I have spoken to
Deep on many previous occasions, and the "Godfather" of the great family, which seems to gain more and more power as the days go by, has strongly suggested that he will be a candidate for the presidential seat himself. A man who has strong relations with many countries in Eastern Europe, mostly the growing Polish empire, and also the boss of a few very big and organized companies in Poland and Russia. He has also assured me that the only reason his companies are outside of our glorious nation is because he fears sabotage and repressions from the government if he was to base his organization in the Reich. A passionate man, who seems to be interested in insects, he has already shown great leadership skills when helping Poland overcome the rebellion in Siberia - surely, if he reaches power, the military and economical potential of Germany will grow, and perhaps alliances could be formed with neighboring countries.
Team Of Rising Germany party
The opposition seems to be a bastion of strong, influential people. As soon as the party formed, members started joining in tens, most probably rejoicing the fact that now Germany will not be simply "given" to the G.U.P in the upcoming elections. With many members, including myself, the party is a strong force which could mean a lot not only in Germany, where victory is pretty much guaranteed, but in neighboring nations, where positive relations have been observed. Most of the party members have also joined the "family" - an organized military and economical force, which seems to be tied together by close bonds of friendship and trust. So far there has been much organization observed, like in the Siberian conflict, where surely the T.O.R.G. has been a factor that altered the outcome of the battle by quite a bit. Most of the members seem kind, and express an urge to change Germany, from a weak country that is barely noticed, to the Empire it always deserved, and forever will deserve, to be.
The Congress candidates
Despite plentiful of information about the presidential candidate, and the party and its policies, I have not laid my hands on any information about the parliament. The only few, unofficial, messages I have managed to acquire were saying that T.O.R.G. will try to force a member through in just a few of the "lands" as they do not want to totally dominate German politics - a kind act to the opposition, which would otherwise have very small chances of election in any of the German provinces.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
