Now for today's guide: The Basics of Fighting.

Picking a Battle
If you are in a Military Unit, follow orders. If you are not, look on the forum to find out which battle would be most beneficial for you to fight in.

If you are not in a country that is involved in the battle (as an attacker, defender, or through a MPP with either side), you will have to move to an involved country to be able to fight in it.

Special note: for Resistance Wars, you have to be in the defending country to be able to fight.

On the Battlefield
When you get to the battle screen, pick your weapon, then choose whether to fight once, or berserk for five hits. There is no difference between hitting fight 5 times and hitting berserk, except the time it takes to do the first one.

At the top of the screen, you will see how the battle is going overall. Each battle will have between 8 and 15 rounds, and each round is two hours long. The winner of each round is the country that has more than 50% at the end of the round, and the winner of the battle is the country that wins 8 rounds first.

One important note: the counter for each round counts down from 2 hours, not up from 0.

On the battle screen you can also see the top fighters for each side, as well as what country and military unit they are part of.

You can also see who is currently fighting. Their names scroll down the screen along with the amount of damage they do.
In between the scrolling lines of fighters, there is a box listing the top 8 countries and top 5 military units fighting in this battle. Right above those lists is the amount of damage you have done this round.

Managing Health

There are several factors that affect your health in battle:

1) Moving. If you had to move to participate in the battle, your wellness will be reduced depending on the quality of the ticket.

If you used:
You will lose:

Q1 ticket
40 health

Q2 ticket
30 health

Q3 ticket
20 health

Q4 ticket
10 health

Q5 ticket
0 health

2) Fighting. Each fight will cost you 10 wellness. The only exception is if there is a hospital active in the battle. A hospital reduces the wellness cost per fight by 0.5 times the quality level.

If there is:
You will lose:

No hospital
10 health per fight

Q1 hospital
9.5 health per fight

Q2 hospital
9 health per fight

Q3 hospital
8.5 health per fight

Q4 hospital
8 health per fight

Q5 hospital
7.5 health per fight

3) Food. Each piece of food heals you for 10 wellness per quality level (so Q1/1-star food will heal 10 points, Q2 will heal 20, and so on). You are restricted to using 10 pieces of food per day.

4) Gifts. As with food, these will heal 10 health per quality level, and you can use 10 per day.

With 10:
You can heal:

Q1 gifts or food
100 health per day

Q2 gifts or food
200 health per day

Q3 gifts or food
300 health per day

Q4 gifts or food
400 health per day

Q5 gifts or food
500 health per day

5) Health gain at day change. At day change each day, you will automatically gain 50 health. You can also gain more health depending on what quality level house you have.

With:
You will gain:

No house
50 health at day change

Q1 house
60 health at day change

Q2 house
70 health at day change

Q3 house
80 health at day change

Q4 house
90 health at day change

Q5 house
100 health at day change

All these 5 factors affect how much you will be able to fight each day. For most battles, there will not be a hospital. So once you figure out how much health you will gain from food and gifts, you can divide that by ten and fight that many times. Just make sure that at day change, you will be able to get back to 100 health.

This article was getting a little long, so here's something to make up for it.

Damage

The basic damage formula is as follows: Damage = Strength x Weapon Modifier x Rank Modifier

The modifiers for the different quality weapons are:
Weapon
Modifier

No
0.5

Q1
1.2

Q2
1.4

Q3
1.6

Q4
1.8

Q5
2.0

To do the most damage possible, make sure you are always fighting with some sort of weapon. Even if you can only afford Q1 guns, buy them. Otherwise, you cut your potential damage in half.

The modifiers for the different quality ranks are:
Rank
Modifier

Rookie
1.00

Private
1.10

Private First Class
1.20

Corporal
1.30

Sergeant
1.40

Staff Sergeant
1.50

Sergeant First Class
1.60

Master Sergeant
1.65

First Sergeant
1.70

Sergeant Major
1.75

Command Sergeant Major
1.80

Sergeant Major of the Army
1.85

Second Lieutenant
1.90

First Lieutenant
1.93

Captain
1.96

Major
2.00

Lieutenant Colonel
2.03

Colonel
2.06

Brigadier General
2.10

Major General
2.12

Lieutenant General
2.14

General
2.16

General of the Army
2.18

Marshall
2.20

Field Marshall
2.22

Supreme Marshall
2.24

Generalissimus
2.26

In addition, there are a few other ways to increase damage:

1) A defense system gives a bonus to your damage (from 5% to 25%, depending on the quality level of the defense system).
2) Fighting as a defender in the battle while being located in the region being attacked gives 20% bonus.
3) Fighting as an attacker while being located in a region next to the one being attacked gives 20% bonus.
4) Fighting in a battle that is your military unit's daily order gives a damage bonus. This bonus depends on what type of military unit it is (and that's a topic for a different article).

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
