Hi all Caps Lock followers, and welcome in this new article.
Today I'm here to announce the beginning of a new project of mine.
I must apologize with you all for this series of articles that I'm giving you and I want to warn you about what you will find there. I know, the average player loves "fake" articles, with funny things or propaganda: but this is not, this is about the truth; this text contains everything I’ve learned through careful and extended studies of both the ancient and the contemporary events that have interested Suna’s World and contains all the observations based on all the experiences I've had while I was in any cabinet.
The name of this work is
Political Reflections.
Those articles mustn’t be misunderstood as an act of presumption.
My only goal is to examine E-Sim's politics.
I know that most of you won't like this idea, but I hope that someone will read this until the very end, so that every leader will be able to choose the best way to follow.
Obviously, something I’m going to say is probably already known by a lot of you, but let me repeat it, as I’d like to make you tread with me the logical route I’ve done, so that we will be able to get the conclusion together.
I'd begin this "journey" we will do together with a simple schematisation of the topic we're going to face.
Basically, we can find two big categories of countries: the ones that are
insignificant and the one that
are not.
In the first category we can find the nations that are characterized by the form of government of the
Oligarchy, while, on the other hand, in the second one we can find
Aristocracy and
Democracy.
Let's analyze all of them, one by one.
Among the ones I've previously mentioned,
Oligarchy is certainly the most widespread in all Suna, even if it affects the smaller part of players. It's typical of the so called "Party Took Over country". They are controlled by a little group, who cooperates to avoid other players to join. Also, they revoke as soon as possible the citizenship of all the ones that put in danger their leadership in that land. It can be splitted in two more subcategories:
•the ones that are
neutral and that have
no purpose outside themselves. They are weak, not only within the political ambit, but also in the military one. They are usually wiped from the map and usually host 2-clickers that are still playing just to farm BHs during Leagues. Some examples of this kind are
Switzerland,
Puerto Rico,
Haiti,
Rwanda;
•the ones that are
PTOs of influential countries. They are sometimes wiped, sometimes freed, depending on the plans of the nation on which they depend. They are often exploited as a way to open a new war-front against someone with the aim of draining some damage. In some cases they can also have some colonies, obtained thanks to the help of their native country. Some examples of this kind are
Paraguay,
Uruguay,
Papua New Guinea,
Angola,
Belarus,
Oman.
The
Democracy we find there must not be confused with the one we can see in real life; the second one is, in fact, a representative one, while the one we have there is a direct one. This is surely the most
chaotic and unstable kind of government, though it is the most spreaded between the countries with a considerable number of active players. In the nations with this kind of istitution, every player has the possibility to join the political life, without exception. So there is basically
more than just one leader, as everyone that is able to use in the proper way his
propaganda could build around himself a group of supporters. Those often are newbies or have never been part of a cabinet, so they are not used to Org-management and will likely do nothing but mistakes, as they are too proud to accept the help of older players. In fact, the most of them say in their propagandas that "the governing caste" uses the country to finance themself. Anyway, every time one of those manages to obtain the role of president, all the others start complaining and try with every means to prevent the success of that one. In some cases, one of those groups is a
Military Unit that is able to deal a big amount of damage. So it can also happen that those one will start a Civil War, starting an internal feud. Anyway, in both instances there would be big problems in the community and this will produce nothing but a big crisis in that country, making it vulnerable to external enemies. In some cases, those groups will complain about the actions of their government as they have the impression they can lead their country in a better way, when often they don't even know the game's mechanics. Some examples of this kind are
Iran,
Turkey,
Poland,
Lithuania and
Brazil.
Lastly, there is
Aristocracy. This is based on the figure of a
single leader that is able to impose his group and his ideology among the others. In few words, this kind of government is the second step that
democracy might do.
Anyway, that player is usually a
charismatic and decisive person and he usually has a
great knowledge of game's mechanics and strategies. Using those, he is able to earn respect and support from the majority of his fellow citizens.
Aristocracy's power is
not legitimated by the choice of the
population that is often unable to pick this decision, but it is justified by the efforts and by the capacity to administer the country.
If this kind of government wants to survive and to be not demoted to Democracy, it has to
force any opposition to cooperate, with every means. For example, a good way to do so is allowing some other players that are not members of the leading group to join the cabinet with insignificant roles, giving them the feeling of being important.
In this kind of istitution any
defeat in any ambit might result in
its own end: it is very easy to lose the trust of the population, so the Aristocracy has to try to avoid any reckless action.
The leader must always think
carefully about the decision he will take and he has to take that without showing indecision, or he will be seen as a weak politician that is not able to rule his country.
It is necessary to use a lot of
propaganda, making others believe that the cabinet is working very hard and that nobody would be able to do it in a better way, defending any action that was taken, making them look like as there were no others alternatives. It is also necessary to answer to any criticism,
avoiding the birth of any
discontent.
Furthermore, the government has to organize some projects to
entertain the population, like irc's events or minigames, distracting players from other things that are obviously more important.
Last important thing about this kind of institution is that the
Country President has to be changed every 1-2 months, so that the population will have the illusion of being in a not-dictatorial nation.
In few words, Aristocracy has to be present in any ambit of the game,
controlling all of them.
Some examples of this kind are
Italy,
Portugal and
USA.
