Today i had the privilege to sit down and chat with one of the most educated and motivated presidential candidates for Brazil Mr.
varofakis
I wanted to get to know the man that had ambitions of leading one of the major powerhouses. I wanted to know what made the man tick. Below are excerpts of our conversation.
Question: What are your five core values and how do they shape how you lead?
Answer: My five values are based in Justice, Love, Cooperation, Democracy and Loyalty
Question: What is your definition of leadership? What is your overarching purpose as a leader?
Answer: For me Leadership is based on Improvement, empathy, and serving our player bases in order of National union
and a Ulitimate Brazil full of Power.
Question:What is your negotiating style/approach/philosophy?
Answer: I think that all negotiation should be concentrated in finding problems, and give them solutions, in a real diplomatic way, in all the years i'm playing this game, what i found is that if you use an agressive aproach you will fail, and that was what i did with Peru and worked in a great NAP, based in Political, Diplomatic and Militar cooperation.
Question: The role requires decisiveness. Share some examples of your ability & willingness to be decisive.
Answer: In some days of Cp is hard, but i think that the NAP is a good Example, and the ability of contain National Unity even After a political leave of the CP, was a Hard thing to do, also the fact that one of the players that was allways my oposition declared me Support is also a good point of leadership.
After getting to know mr.
varofakis I was curious about whom he planned on inviting to his cabinet, and how he came to such decisions.
Question: What are the most important qualities and/or skills you look for in the people you want on your senior team?

Answer: I think that loyalty and pleasure is allways the main Skill, the rest we can teach
Question: How do you decide whom to trust? How does someone earn your trust?
Answer: There is not a speacific way how to earn my trust, just be yourself and i'll follow my feelings
Question: How will you appeal to a diverse set of constituencies in an honest, respectful and inclusive manner?
Answer: Honesty, and democracy is allways the best manner
Finally, I as well as the citizens of Brazil wanted a little insight to his plans on a brighter future for Brazil.
Question: What are the first three things you’re going to do to raise Brazil’s confidence once you’re in office?
Awnser: Many see Brazil as a country that can not be trusted,due to old goverments, we need to start by trust raise in the International scenario, rebuild economically our country, and also be more Democratic, those are my 3 goals!
Question: What could cause you to fail as the President?
Answer: Senseless Actions, from my oposition or from others in the international scenario.
Question: Is there anything else you would like to tell the people of Brazil before they cast their ballots?
Answer: Just follow your goat, i have the 2 main Political Partys with me, i hope have you as well, together we will rebuild Brazil!
In conclusion, after spending much time with the candidate discussing the important issues facing Brazil in the near future, I am convinced that he is the man for the job! I personally believe in the ability of Mr.
varofakis to rebuild Brazil into a success story, and fully support his bid for the office. I look forward to working with you Mr.President of the Federative Republic of Brazil!

About the game:
USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
