Today I will talk about one of the characters that had a particular impact, this case is related to the lieutenant colonel...
Ronald Speirs

Born on April 20, 1920 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Later he would travel to Portland where he would spend his childhood there. At the beginning of his military training, he was assigned to an infantry unit, but volunteered for paratroopers. He served as a platoon leader in the Dog Company at Camp Toccoa (Toccoa, State of Georgia).

Ronald was on the Normandy Landing on June 6, 1944 and quickly organized himself with a few men to create a command post on an unoccupied farm. He with a few soldiers helped the assault on Brécourt Manor that made the Easy company to take a 105 mm guns. Later rumors began to circulate among the soldiers, according to whom, Speirs had murdered 20 captured German prisoners on D-Day after having offered them cigarettes and lighted them. However, Speirs has never confirmed or denied those rumors.

Although he participated with the Easy in the D-Day assault, the Dog Company did not see much action as the Easy did, but they still participated in a significant number of clashes during the war. Speirs and Company D were in Bastogne and also with Easy in the initial assault on the town of Foy.

During the course of that combat, Speirs was ordered to relieve Lieutenant Norman Dike from Major Richard Winters. Thus in command of the Easy achieved a resounding victory over the Germans in that action in Belgium.

Speirs was reassigned as commander of the Easy Company and remained throughout the rest of the war to capture positions and monuments such as Kehlsteinhaus (or the Eagle's Nest) near Berchtesgaden, the Adolf Hitler Alps retirement place.

Of all those who commanded the Easy during the war, Speirs was the one that lasted the longest.

After the war, Speirs returned to his home in England and upon meeting his wife (an old widow of a British soldier reported dead, but had actually been made a prisoner of war), he found the surprise that she had returned with her ex-husband It is said that she kept all the silverware and the things that Speirs had collected while in Europe. So Speirs decides to stay in the Army, later serving in the Korean War, where he made a leap of combat in that country and led a company of riflemen.

Speirs took a course to learn the Russian language in 1956, being assigned as liaison officer with the Red Army in Potsdam, East Germany.

In 1958 he became Governor of the Spandau Prison in Berlin, where some prominent NS famous characters such as Rudolf Hess and Albert Speer were imprisoned.

In Albert Speer's book, Spandau: The Secret Diaries, he mentions a tough and irritating American commander, but does not provide his name. This commander has been identified from the beginning as Ronald Speirs.

Although Speirs did not regularly participate in the annual Easy Company meetings, he did meet with many former Easy members from time to time. However, he decided to participate in some meetings a few years ago.

On April 11, 2007 he died at the age of 86, his rumors about the 20 German soldiers killed under the Lieutenant Colonel's own orders remain a mystery that can not be resolved.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
