Com 35 anos, o colombiano já possuía uma fortuna de mais de US$ 30 bilhões. Para você ter uma ideia de quanto Escobar era podre de rico, o site Business Insider listou 10 curiosidades sobre a sua fortuna. Confira:
1. Nos anos 1980, Escobar tinha uma receita estimada em US$ 420 milhões por semana, o que equivale a US$ 22 bilhões por ano.
2. Pablo Escobar entrou para a lista de bilionários da Forbes em 1987 e lá ficou por sete anos seguidos. Em 1989, chegou à sétima colocação no ranking.
3. No final dos anos 1980, ele fornecia 80% da cocaína que circulava no mundo.
4. Ou seja, de cada cinco americanos que usavam cocaína, quatro compravam a droga de Escobar e sua turma.
5. Ele levava aproximadamente 15 toneladas de cocaína por dia aos Estados Unidos. Segundo o jornalista Ioan Grillo, a maior parte da droga entrava pela costa da Flórida.
6. O “Rei da Cocaína” perdia US$ 2,1 bilhões por ano. Sua fortuna começou a se tornar um problema porque ele não conseguia lavar todo esse dinheiro. Então ele teve que enterrar dinheiro em fazendas da Colômbia, esconder em depósitos e nas paredes das casas dos membros do cartel.
Segundo Roberto Escobar, seu irmão, contador do cartel e autor de um livro sobre sua história, “Pablo ganhava tanto dinheiro que ele perdia mais de 10% por causa dos ratos nos depósitos ou umidade, mas ele não se importava”.
7. Segundo Roberto, Pablo gastava cerca de US$ 2,5 mil em elásticos por mês, usados para organizar as pilhas de dinheiro.
8. Pablo, uma vez, queimou US$ 2 milhões para manter sua filha aquecida. Seu filho, Juan Pablo, que contou essa história à revista Don Juan em 2009.
A família estava em um esconderijo nas montanhas perto de Medellín quando sua filha Manuela começou a dar sinais de hipotermia. Ele queimou as notas para mantê-la aquecida.
9. Ele ganhou o apelido de Robin Hood após dar dinheiro aos pobres, construir casas para os sem-teto, inaugurar 70 campos de futebol e construir um zoológico.
10. Ele fez um acordo com a Colômbia para ser preso, mas em uma prisão de luxo que ele construiu e batizou de “La Catedral”. A estrutura da “cadeia” incluía um campo de futebol e churrasqueira. Ele ficou detido a partir de 1991, mas podia decidir quem seriam seus companheiros de prisão e os funcionários. Ele continuou operando seu cartel e recebendo visitas no local. As autoridades colombianas tinham de ficar a pelo menos 5 km de distância da Catedral.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
